An original French wooden hat tensioner with iron screw mechanism dating from the early 20th century. It consists of two halves, with an adjustable screw to push or pull the two halves apart or together.
The item had a rich patina and looks fantastic on display.
CONDITION Good, with wear consistent with age and use. Old holes from woodworm have been treated. DIMENSIONS H 33 cm W 18 cm D 30.7 cm
